App Name: WatchX
Developer: Kolapps
Contact: mguvenn96@gmail.com
1. Introduction
This privacy policy explains how WatchX, developed and published by Kolapps ("we", "us"), collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Android app, Wear OS app, and related services. WatchX lets you choose public X/Twitter accounts and view recent public posts from those accounts on your phone and watch.
WatchX is not an official X or Twitter application. WatchX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise officially connected to X Corp., Twitter, or their affiliates. X, Twitter, and related names or marks belong to their respective owners. WatchX shows information from publicly available profiles, posts, links, and related public metadata for the accounts you choose.

2. Information We Collect or Process
We do not ask for unrelated personal details. We process the following information to provide and improve WatchX:
- X/Twitter username or handle. You enter a public username so WatchX can show public posts and profile information for the accounts you select.
- Selected accounts and public profile data. WatchX stores the list of accounts you choose to follow in the app, along with public profile information such as username, display name, profile image URL, and public account identifiers.
- Public post content. The app displays and may cache public posts, public profile details, timestamps, links, and engagement metadata returned by our service for the accounts you selected.
- App-generated user ID and authentication tokens. WatchX creates or receives a stable app user ID and stores access/refresh tokens so the app can securely communicate with our backend without asking you to log in repeatedly.
- Preferences and settings. We store settings such as language, theme, onboarding state, watch sync preference, premium status, and selected feed configuration.
- Watch sync data. If you use the Wear OS companion app, your phone may transfer your selected accounts, username, public profile data, theme, language, and premium status to your paired watch so the watch app can work consistently with the phone app.
- Subscription information. If you buy or restore a subscription, billing is handled by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status and may associate your app user ID and X/Twitter handle with your subscription record.
- Support information. If you tap Support & Contact, the draft email may include your username and app user ID to help us troubleshoot. You can review and edit the email before sending it.
- Diagnostics, crash, and usage information. On Android, we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability. This can include app interactions, device and OS information, crash traces, and identifiers used by Firebase. The Android app declares the Google Advertising ID permission because Firebase/Google Play services may use it for app measurement; WatchX does not show ads.
- Technical server data. When online features are used, our backend processes request data such as the username, selected creators, authentication token, IP address, user agent, timestamps, and other technical data needed to operate, secure, debug, and protect the service from abuse.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide your selected public feed on phone and watch;
- authenticate requests to our backend and keep your session working;
- sync settings and selected accounts between your phone and paired watch;
- cache recent content locally so the app can show recent posts when network access is unavailable;
- manage subscriptions and premium features;
- respond to support requests;
- measure basic app usage, investigate crashes, fix bugs, improve performance, and protect the service.
4. Public Content and Third-Party Platforms
WatchX displays public posts, public profile information, public links, and related public metadata from third-party platforms such as X/Twitter. WatchX is an independent app and is not an official X/Twitter client. We do not control those platforms, their content, or their privacy practices. Opening links from WatchX may take you to third-party websites or apps, which are governed by their own policies.
5. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share or process information only as needed to operate WatchX, including with:
- Google Play for Android app distribution and billing;
- RevenueCat for subscription validation and entitlement management;
- Firebase / Google for Android analytics, crash reporting, diagnostics, and app measurement;
- Backend hosting and infrastructure providers that host the WatchX API and related services;
- Apple App Store where relevant for the iOS version of WatchX;
- law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect our rights, users, or service.
6. Local Storage, Cache, and Watch Data
WatchX stores app data locally on your phone and watch, including settings, selected accounts, tokens, subscription state, and cached feed data. This local storage helps the app load faster, remember your choices, and show recent posts when offline. Watch sync data is transferred only between your own paired devices through the platform watch connectivity APIs.
7. Notifications
WatchX may use notifications for app functionality, such as helping you open a link or premium screen on your phone from your watch. Notification content may include a link or action needed to complete the requested operation.
8. Retention and Your Choices
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve the service. You can delete the app to remove local data from your device, subject to your device backup settings. You can also contact us to request deletion of information associated with your use of WatchX.
To request access, correction, or deletion, email us at mguvenn96@gmail.com. Please include enough information for us to identify your WatchX account, such as your app username or app user ID.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by WatchX. However, no app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children's Privacy
WatchX is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International Users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws from your country of residence.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of WatchX after an update means you accept the updated policy.
